About the Observatory

The Orihuela Public Opinion Observatory is an instrument of the Department of Citizen Participation created to improve municipal management, promote citizen involvement, and ensure that political and administrative decisions are supported by scientific data and aligned with the real needs of all Orihuela residents. To achieve this, citizens’ opinions will be collected with the aim of improving municipal management, fostering citizen participation, and guaranteeing that political decisions are based on data extracted from the real demands and concerns of the public.

Objetives

Measure citizen perception

To identify the main concerns, expectations, and demands of Orihuela’s population in important areas such as safety, employment, urban planning, education, culture, and public services.
To monitor the satisfaction of Orihuela residents regarding municipal policies and services offered by the City Council.

To facilitate the creation of an ongoing dialogue between the public administration and the citizenry.

Support data-driven decision making

To provide reliable and updated data that serves as a foundation for the planning and prioritization of public policies.
