Orihuela Panel

We aim to foster citizen participation through this information gathering tool, with the objective of making better decisions based on the real needs of the residents of the municipality of Orihuela.

What is the
Orihuela Panel?

A panel is a group of selected individuals who agree to participate in one or more surveys repeated over time. This group of “panelists” is representative of the population and is used to analyze opinions and understand different viewpoints.

It is, therefore, a social research tool created by the Orihuela Public Opinion Observatory, which is part of the Department of Citizen Participation. Its objective is to leverage the advantages provided by the internet for the analysis of public opinion.

We work with the information, always in an aggregated form to guarantee the anonymity of the participants, in absolute compliance with statistical privacy and data protection laws.

Thanks to this tool, we can analyze what the attitudes and opinions of Orihuela’s citizens are like and how they evolve, with the aim of offering better solutions to their concerns.

Why participate

The studies carried out by the Orihuela Public Opinion Observatory will allow us to know which municipal issues are perceived as priorities by Orihuela residents, and how they evaluate municipal infrastructure, services, and projects.

This information is essential so that municipal managers can develop their work effectively, and so that the public policies we design at the City Council can respond to the true needs and demands of the people of Orihuela.

How to participate?

It’s very simple. You just have to fill out a small online survey, which will take you no more than two minutes, and which will allow us to process your data along with the rest of the participants.

Shall we start?

Consent to data processing

The data controller is the Political Analysis Group of the University of Murcia. The personal data we collect are: your email address, postcode, date of birth, sex and municipality of residence. In some surveys we may also ask about political and social issues; once the fieldwork is completed, these data will be separated from your personal data.

The main purpose for which we process your data is to carry out social research studies through the University of Murcia’s online survey platform (encuestas.um.es). We use your data to send you new invitations to take part in future studies.
We process these personal data on the basis of the unequivocal, free, specific, revocable and informed consent that you give us when you accept this privacy policy.
Your data will never be communicated or transferred to third parties. You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, portability and restriction of processing at any time by sending an email to contacto@observatorio.orihuela.es
